Tweefontein Melkery is a Function & Events venue conveniently situated just 25km from OR Tambo International, in between Kempton Park & Bapsfontein, on the R25.

A magical farm-style venue, with a large indoor main venue boasting unique one-of-a-kind décor, a stage for live music, bar and kitchen – and plenty of outside space for camping, picnics and bonfires.

We also have guestroom accommodation to add to any event, for those who want to make a little getaway of their time here.

Expect top live music events & festivals, picnic parties, adventure & trail races as well as the perfect venue for your private party, function, bachelor/bachelorette or wedding.

Within the Main Venue is where you will find the Main Seating & Standing area, Lounge area, Dancefloor, Stage (including backstage guestroom accommodation), DJ Booth, Bar Areas, Kitchen, Toilets & Showers, Pool Table, Foosball Table and the outdoor Covered Seating Area.

The main seating area consists of 10 built-in table areas with seating of up to approx. 60 people. We also have our Lounge Areas with seating of up to approx. another 30 people. These lounge areas are not permanent and can be moved around/removed to create more space if need be, as well as an additional 10 trestle tables with plastic chairs for more seating.


The stage is a built-in concrete stage floor, with drum rise and is approx. 9m x 3m in size (the drum rise approx. 2x1m) and is raised approx. 30cm from the floor. Behind the stage is also where you will find our cosy backstage accommodation – you can read more info on this below here.

There is no built-in PA System for the stage however a smaller 2-Speaker and 4-Channel DJ mixer PA system for is available in the DJ Booth – a built-in, raised booth of approx. 2x1m in size, with built-in shelving for DJ equipment and storage.

In front of the DJ booth is the main “dancefloor” area, approx. 10x9m in size.

Keep yourself and your friends entertained with a game of Pool or Foosball in their own designated areas at the back of the venue

The venue’s “Dancefloor” area opens out with double doors to our outdoor covered seating area, with moveable wooden benches and tables to seat up to about 25-30 people.

The outside area is also the serving area of the Kitchen.

This area outside the main venue is usually utilised for Kids Play areas, smaller markets, picnics or a smaller outdoor stage area. It also includes the built-in Bonfire Area, 5 x Built-in Braais and an outdoor Pizza Oven.

For smaller events, we allow parking along the main sand road leading in (approx. 30-40 cars) as well as cars in the Camping Areas. For larger events, we have separate Parking areas of approx. 1ha (hectare). This area is a flat open grass area with no electricity.

We have a fully equipped kitchen with bain-maries, pots, cutlery & crockery, glasses and plasticware – to comfortably serve up to 150 people. The kitchen utilises a 3- plate Gas Stove, plus a Microwave, Fridge, Upright Chest Freezer (used to make ice) and the dishwashing area.

The kitchen opens up to the covered outdoor seating area with a large window flap.

We do have a Chapel on site with a small built-in stage and wooden pews to seat up to approx. 70 people. The Chapel can also be used as a “second” stage or DJ area for events, or for any other number of uses – and can be decorated to your heart’s desire. 

On the Guestroom side of the venue is where you will find our large General Camping Area. On the opposite side of the venue (by the Parking Area side) is the space we generally use as a “VIP” Camping Area.

The Camping Areas are open land with no 
electricity points.

Inside the Main Venue is where you will find the main toilets. Ouside the back of the venue (passed the Toilets) leads you to the 2 x built-in showers (with access from the camping area & outside guestrooms).

The showers have geysers for hot water. Around the corner from that is another outdoor double wash basin & another toilet for use by the campers & guestrooms.
